MOUNTIES SUMMER
WRESTLING CAMP 2022
Montclair High School Wrestling Room | 100 Chestnut St. Montclair, NJ

DEAR FAMILIES AND FUTURE CHAMPIONS,

Welcome to Wrestling Camp! Our camp will take place on Monday, August 1 - Friday, August 5 from 9am - 2pm in the Montclair High School Wrestling Room. Our camp will welcome wrestlers in grades 3-8. The program is designed to teach the fundamentals of the sport of wrestling in a fun environment and to challenge wrestlers to develop more advanced techniques.
In the beginning of the week, the focus will be on teaching the basics, playing wrestling related games, drilling and eventually live wrestling. As we progress through the week, the focus will begin to shift to include more advanced instruction, along with more drilling and live wrestling. We are looking forward to an exciting week of fun, expert instruction, and challenging activities in wrestling.
On the first day of camp, wrestlers should be dropped off at Montclair High School on Midland Avenue in the parking lot next to the MHS gymnasium at 9am. Upon arrival, please turn into the parking lot. A staff member will be stationed there to assist your camper and help direct him/her to our meeting place which is the MHS Wrestling Room. Pick up will be in the same location at 2pm.
All wrestlers should arrive in athletic attire: shorts (mesh or cotton), t-shirts (no sleeveless tees or tank tops), and sneakers. Wrestlers should bring wrestling shoes (if they own them), a spare pair of shorts and tee shirt (in the event their clothing is wet from perspiration), sunscreen, lunch, snacks, plenty of water and/or Gatorade. Please leave all valuables at home. There will be lockers available that wrestlers can use. Campers are encouraged to use a combination lock for their belongings if they are proficient in the use of a combination lock. We highly recommend that you provide the combination in the event that your camper has trouble with their lock.
Please make sure that your camper has something light to eat before the start of camp. Lunch will not be refrigerated so please supply a cold pack if necessary.
We look forward to having your child(ren) join us. Please don’t hesitate to call or email the Camp Director if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Eugene Kline & Naveed Khawaja - Program Co-Directors
