REMINDER ABOUT COURSE PAGES FOR ALL GRADE LEVELS FROM DR. ANGLIN

In an effort to offer families a consistent form of teacher communication, Hillside is using Course Pages -- a class based web-page for communicating weekly news to parents. Course Pages allows our teachers to put text posts with weekly assignments, reminders, web hot links and/or uploaded documents on the course web pages so that students and their parents can view them at home. You access Course Pages in the Genesis system.

COAT DRIVE IN FULL SWING

Our annual Coat Drive is on now and runs through Nov. 20. Drop gently used coats to benefit New Jersey Cares in the donation box in the copy room next to the office. Contact Sarah Jacobstein with questions.

GOT COINS? WE’RE COLLECTING FOR THE COIN CHALLENGE THROUGH NOV. 16

The Coin Challenge kicks off this week and runs through Nov. 16th. Donate your loose change to Hillside and help purchase books for our school community. Every year Hillside classes compete to collect the most coins to help fund teachers' classroom wish lists. The class that collects the most coins wins a pizza party! All the proceeds go to fund books for the Hillside community. To participate, you can send coins with your child in plastic bags or other easily accessible containers. No bills please.

THE HILLSIDE BOOK FAIR – VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES STILL AVAILABLE

The Hillside book fair is the week of Nov 13th-17th, with evening family night on Thursday, Nov 16th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This year's family night will be extra special as Hillside's very own 4th grade English Language Arts Teacher Mrs. Tina Traina, will read and sign copies of her new book, Travel Tails: All Bark and No Bite.

As in past years, the students will shop on their own during scheduled class periods and lunch time. We need lots of volunteers to help with set up, clean up, for family night and class visits. The class schedule is now available on sign-up genius if you want to volunteer during your child's class visit. Sign up here.
