World Languages

Our program follows the guidelines in National Standards for Foreign Language Teaching, New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) World Language Standards and American Council of Teaching Foreign Language (ACTFL). Students will develop language skills for communication in the interpretive, interpersonal and presentational modes. They will also explore aspects of Chinese culture, compare languages and cultures, and make connections with other content areas and communities. In the classroom, the instructor uses a variety of strategies to facilitate comprehension and support meaning making to feature maximum use of target language.

MANDARIN
We offer the following classes: Mandarin 1, Mandarin 2, Mandarin 3 and CI Mandarin. Our program has three cycles each academic year.
