Christopher Golinski
Instrumental Music Teacher
Christopher Golinski has maintained an active performance and teaching career for close to two decades, and is honored to be appointed as the new instrumental music teacher and director of The Drums of Thunder at Hillside Elementary School.
After opening for national acts including Country Music Hall of Famer Kenny Rogers, performing with countless bands at large-scale events like The Van’s Warped Tour, SXSW Music Festival, and Musikfest, and recording multiple EPs, LPs and sound design projects ranging from instrumental to pop country, Chris continued to hone his craft by graduating from the percussion program at The Collective School of Music in New York City.
Chris' passion for education was discovered through private drumming instruction and substitute teaching for a number of years in his hometown of Newark, New Jersey. Ultimately, after completing long term assignments for general music, designing percussion curriculum for The Newark School of The Arts, and working as a second grade classroom teacher, he returned to university to earn his Master’s Degree in Music Education from Montclair State University.
Chris lives in Sparta with his wife Danielle and Goldendoodle, Bagel.
