Summer Reading for kids, teens, and adults is back for 2019!  This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories” so join us for some space themed fun while you log books or minutes read.

Summer Reading Kickoff: Reach for the Moon with Mad Science (Ages 4-11)

Shows on Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

No registration required.

Summer reading is here and the theme is “A Universe of Stories.” Explore space as Mad Science takes kids on a voyage of discovery. Travel 239,800 miles above the Earth as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Participants will help conduct a space race as we investigate Newton’s Laws of Motion and create a kitchen comet. After the show go to the 3rd floor Children’s Department and enroll in Summer Reading where you’ll receive free books all summer long!

Summer Lunch for Kids at MPL

Monday, July 1 through Friday, August 30, Noon - 2 p.m.*

1st floor Café (Main)

No registration required.

Stop by on Mondays through Fridays and pick up a brown-bag lunch. Free to kids 17 and under. In partnership with Toni's Kitchen, Montclair Public Library Foundation, and with a generous grant from Partners for Health Foundation. Supplies are limited; please note that we cannot accommodate special diets or food allergen restrictions. *The library is closed on Independence Day, July 4.
